**** 10/22/2019 UPDATE: Numbers Reported for “.CLUB” Decline Due to Registry Quality Compliance & Cleanup ****
PALM BEACH, FL – According to domain name investor, or should I dare use the recently coined moniker from the domain industry’s new advocate Tamara Kurtzman Esq. “anticipatory cybersquatter”, Rick Swartz – who has been one of the most successful domain name speculators in the history of domain names, the “.CLUB” nGTLD domain extension is experiencing what he says is a “Meldown” as registrations plummet to a low for the year.
According to Schwartz, in or around 2014 the owners of the “.Club” domain projected 7-8 million registrations by now; they look way off.
.CLUB is starting to meltdown. In 2014 they projected 7-8million regs by now. Unfortunately they are struggling to hang on to 1 Million and their percentage of PARKED #domains is among the highest. Looks like they lost about 500k in the last 45 days!#branding #newGTLD #domain

From what I have seen, the “.club” domain has been one of the most successful and well marketed ‘GTLDs’ to hit the scene since new gTLDs rolled-out.
Colin Campbell, Chairman and Founder of .CLUB Domains is an internet pioneer and has built several successful internet companies including Tucows Interactive (TCX). Campbell chose marketing expert Jeff Sass to serve as his Chief Marketing Officer. Sass who has an extensive history in business and marketing recently released a new book titled “Everything I Know about Business and Marketing, I Learned from THE TOXIC AVENGER.”
Together Campell and Sass as well as the rest of their team have seemed to put “.club” on the map as a considerable and viable alternative URL in the gTLD space. The registry has implemented several products (names.club), campaigns and buzz-building decisions which have helped grow the “.club” as an extension including true end-user development and spotlight sales such as Bruce Marler’s “Credit.Club” registry error news blitz and Bill McClure’s “Coffee.Club” purchase for $100,000 paid in 10 installments over 10 years. The true use of the Coffee.Club domain has achieved itself excellent rankings on Google ranking #2 when I checked for “Coffee Club” – something that can make or break your business.
As Rick pointed out, if “.club” continues to decline, it will drop below the 1-million mark in total registrations; a significant milestone for any new gTLD registry. Of all the new gTLDs, I would expect “.club” to be one of the ‘last standing’ in a room of declining alternatives.

Smart investors that hold the gems and develop sites can make a lot more than them. 1000’s ntld = dilution, too many options for ‘cheap skates’ It’s all about the BEST of the BEST, and they exist in .com AND nTLD both!
They are ALL going to see uses, some maybe 10,000 regs will struggle, but they will make it. Others around a few million, maybe. Don’t bet on a single one, bet on the whole thing!

Looks like Credit.club is Russian site.

Re coffee.club, there is hardly any volume in the term, the whole site gets about 10 visitors a day according to semrush, was a lot higher for a year when there was press about the domain acquisition.
I doubt this is making much of an an ROI on $10,000 per year payments.
