NEW YORK, NY – According to OnlineDomain.com, there’s a new ORG in town ready to protect the rights of domain name owners; it’s called the “Domain Name Rights Coalition” and it was founded by Mikki Barry and Kathy Kleiman, both whom have extensive backgrounds in domain policy.
The organization is using the domain name, dnrc.tech which I found very interesting and immediately checked what I would have considered the ideal URL, DNRC.org, but of no surprise, it was already taken.
Initially, when first reading about the new organization, I dared wonder if the Industry even needed another voice on the issues, but viewing the website and the experience of the people who are involved, the answer is clearly yes; there can never be too many industry experienced people ready and willing to debate the issues and work to solve the growing number of problems we are seeing – which will only continue to become more frequent as we move into the future.
The Domain Name Rights Coalition considers itself to be the first and only “think tank” dedicated to supporting the work of the ICANN Community and representatives of domain name registrants.
Wishing them much luck and many new friends to help support their important work.
