PALM BEACH, FL – According to a press release which hit the wire this morning, a Cannabis Company called Cannabis Sativa Inc. (CBDS), is selling a domain name which is an exact match for its ticker-symbol: CBDS.com.
The domain is being offered at $2,500,000.
Cannabis Sativa, Inc. (“CBDS”) is engaged in the licensing of cannabis related intellectual property, marketing and branding for cannabis-based products and services, operation of cannabis related technology services, and ancillary business activities.
The press release also references a recent sale of CBDoil.com for $500,000. I remember reading about the amount of offers being received by a Christian Book company called “Christian Book Distributors” about the many inquiries their CBD.com domain name receives (almost daily) and how the owner has said the domain is “not for sale.”
I don’t think I would sell that domain name if I were them, but for $2.5M, you never know. Plus, the release further mentions that the company has acquired their exact match “CannabisSativa.com”, so perhaps raising some capital is more attractive at the moment.
We are very pleased with the recent acquisition of CannabisSativa.com and intend for it to become the ultimate complement to our corporate identity, even more so than the reflection of our ticker symbol CBDS in the domain CBDs.com”
The company is currently using https://cannabissativainc.com
Although it was first discovered in 1940, there has recently been tremendous interest in CBD or “Cannabidiol”, an oil product produced by the cannabis plant, cousin of marijuana. Supposedly it has no intoxicating effects and is sold as a remedy for pain, anxiety, insomnia and other ailments, all without the high.
It seems like it could be a good time to try and offload the very common misspelling: “marijuanna.net” (offers and/or inquiries are welcome).
